Accurate and Computational: A review of color reproduction in Full-color 3D printing

As functional 3D printing becomes more popular with industrial manufacturing applications, it is time to start discussing high-fidelity appearance reproduction of objects, particularly in faithful colors. To date, there only limited research on accurate color and universal method for different materials. systematically understand colorization principles transmission printing, an exhaustive literature review stated show the state art methods full-color such as optical parameter modeling, colorimetric difference evaluation, computer aided voxel droplet jetting. Meanwhile, challenges developing framework suitable materials are fully analyzed this review. In coloring, rendering acquisition constitute core issues reproduction, their specific concepts explained concrete examples. Finally, future perspectives a discussed, which can overcome limitations materials, combined computational boundary contoning.
