چکیده
Abstract The peridynamic theory is a nonlocal formulation of continuum mechanics based on integro-differential equations, devised to deal with fracture in solid bodies. In particular, the forces acting each material point are evaluated as integral interactions all neighboring points within spherical region, called “neighborhood”. Peridynamic bodies commonly discretized by means meshfree method into uniform grid cubic cells. numerical integration over neighborhood strongly affects accuracy and convergence behavior results. However, near boundary neighborhood, some cells only partially sphere. Therefore, quadrature weights related those computed fraction cell volume which actually lies inside neighborhood. This leads complex computation several cube–sphere intersections for different positions We developed an innovative algorithm able accurately compute 3D peridynamics any value spacing (when considering fixed radius neighborhood). Several examples have been presented show capabilities proposed algorithm. With respect most common date, new provides evident improvement results smoother decreases.

CubeCover- Parameterization of 3D Volumes
Despite the success of quad-based 2D surface parameterization methods, effective parameterization algorithms for 3D volumes with cubes, i.e. hexahedral elements, are still missing. CUBECOVER is a first approach for generating a hexahedral tessellation of a given volume with boundary aligned cubes which are guided by a frame field. The input of CUBECOVER is a tetrahedral volume mesh. First, a fr...
متن کاملPartial molecular volumes of lipids and cholesterol.
Volumetric measurements are reported for fully hydrated lipid/cholesterol bilayer mixtures using the neutral flotation method. Apparent specific volume data were obtained with the lipids DOPC, POPC and DMPC at T=30 degrees Celsius, DPPC at 50 degrees Celsius, and brain sphingomyelin (BSM) at 45 and 24 degrees Celsius for mole fractions of cholesterol x from 0 to 0.5. Unlike previous cholesterol...
متن کاملMeasuring Intrinsic Volumes in Digital 3d Images
The intrinsic volumes – in 3d up to constants volume, surface area, integral of mean curvature, and Euler number – are a very useful set of geometric characteristics. Combining integral and digital geometry we develop a method for efficient simultanous calculation of the intrinsic volumes of sets observed in binary images. In order to achieve consistency in the derived intrinsic volumes for bot...
