Adaptive Beam Divergence for Expanding Range of Link Distance in FSO With Moving Nodes Toward 6G

چکیده
Free space optics (FSO) provides high-capacity optical wireless communications. To maintain an FSO link with a moving node, beam should be steered toward it. As the distance gets shorter, it becomes difficult to link. This is because radius has not largely expanded yet at shorter transmission distances and received power decreases as receiver moves away from center of beam. In this letter, we address adaptive divergence control method expand range within which can maintained. Theoretical evaluation results show our minimum 5 m in assumed use cases, though was least 20 fixed divergence. Furthermore, confirmed angle changing interval were feasible.

In this work 8 independent channels each having capacity of 1.56Gbps are transmitted over free space optical link of 15 kilometer at different beam divergence angles. Systems with and without polarization interleaving are com...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation of Optimum Beam Size for FSO Uplink
In this paper, the e ect of transmitter beam size on the performance of free space optical (FSO) communication has been determined experimentally. Irradiance pro le for varying turbulence strength is obtained using optical turbulence generating (OTG) chamber inside laboratory environment. Based on the results, an optimum beam size is investigated using the semi-analytical method. Moreover, the ...
متن کاملAdaptive walks toward a moving optimum.
We investigate how the dynamics and outcomes of adaptation by natural selection are affected by environmental stability by simulating adaptive walks in response to an environmental change of fixed magnitude but variable speed. Here we consider monomorphic lineages that adapt by the sequential fixation of beneficial mutations. This is modeled by selecting short RNA sequences for folding stabilit...
متن کاملBER and Availability Measured on FSO Link
The BER and the availability belong among the basic qualitative parameters of free space optical (FSO) links. The BER parameter is usually mentioned by FSO manufacturers, but it is not defined what conditions a certain value of BER stands for. This article deals with problems of measuring the BER of free space optical link and with questions how to determine the probability of unavailability of...
متن کاملBeam-beam with a Few Long Range Encounters at Long Distance*
The high nominal luminosity of the LHC requires a large number of bunches spaced by about 25 ns. To prevent more than one head-on collision in each interaction region, a total crossing angle of 0.285 mrad is necessary, and the bunches experience around 30 long range (LR) interactions per IP with at mean separation of 9.5 σ. For the LHC luminosity upgrade, there are two possible scenarios: the e...
