چکیده

We demonstrate a new and simple dynamic laser ranging platform based on analog all-optical coherent pulse compression of modulated optical waveforms. The technique employs bidirectional acousto-optic frequency shifting loop, which provides dual-comb photonic signal with an bandwidth in the microwave range. This architecture simply involves CW laser, standard telecom components low electronics, both for generation detection. As system, it offers range resolution few millimeters, set by spectral 24 GHz, precision 20 µm integration time ms. system is also shown to provide measurements at scanning rates acoustic range, including phase-sensitive Doppler shift velocimetry. In addition, we show that application perfect correlation phase sequences transmitted waveforms allows ambiguity be extended factor 10 up ?20 m. generates quasi-continuous peak power, makes possible envision long-range telemetry or reflectometry requiring highly amplified signals.

Acousto-optic laser optical feedback imaging.

We present a photon noise and diffraction-limited imaging method combining an imaging laser and ultrasonic waves. The laser optical feedback imaging (LOFI) technique is an ultrasensitive imaging method for imaging objects through or embedded within a scattering medium. However, LOFI performances are dramatically limited by parasitic optical feedback occurring in the experimental setup. In this ...

Adaptive acousto-optic technique for femtosecond laser pulse shaping.

We discuss the theoretical and experimental investigation of acousto-optic dispersive tunable filters, based on quasi-collinear geometry of light-sound interaction in a tellurium dioxide single crystal. The geometry uses the effect of strong acoustic anisotropy in the paratellurite as well as peculiarities of acoustic wave reflections at the free boundary of the crystal. A mathematical concept ...

Pulse Measurement Techniques Using an Acousto-Optic Programmable Dispersive Filter

Programmable spectral filters, such as acousto-optic programmable dispersive filters (AOPDF, Tournois (1997)) or spatial light modulators inserted in the Fourier plane of zerodispersion lines (Froehly et al., 1983; Weiner, 2000), have opened up the field of ultrafast pulse shaping and given the ability to manipulate spectral amplitude and phase of broadband ultrashort pulses. These devices have...

Q-switching an all-fiber laser using acousto-optic null coupler

A new method for Q-switching an all-fiber laser is presented. It is based on induced acoustic long period grating operating on a null coupler, which acts as acoustically controlled tunable output coupler. Q-switching is achieved by switching on and off the acoustic wave in a burst mode, thereby generating laser pulses that are *400 times shorter than the acoustically controlled coupler’s rise t...

Acousto-Optic–Based Wavelength-Comb-Swept Laser for Extended Displacement Measurements

We demonstrate a novel wavelength-comb-swept laser based on two intra-cavity filters: an acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) and a Fabry-Pérot etalon filter. The AOTF is used for the tunable selection of the output wavelength with time and the etalon filter for the narrowing of the spectral linewidth to extend the coherence length. Compared to the conventional wavelength-swept laser, the acoust...
