چکیده
The search for prompt, less toxic and economically affordable medical therapy has facilitated the increased investigation into therapeutic potentials applications of plants samples against common tropical ailments. This study was designed to investigate reported link between experimental type II diabetes mellitus (T2DM) neurocognitive decline justification use Alstonia boonei leaf in similar treatments. Experimental T2DM were treated with 100, 1000 1600 mg/kg BWT glibenclamide (100 BWT). Biochemical analyses used determine effects on pancreatic neuronal indices tissues functions; oxidative stress; excitation; inflammation; blood glucose insulin concentrations. revealed that affected activity tyrosine hydroxylase which is regulating enzyme biosynthesis dopamine. inflammatory stress exacerbated by mitigated a significant reduction TNF-α an increase GSH, NP-SH, GPx, SOD GST levels. reversed resistance cells, effective transduction signal corresponding circulating glucose. demonstrated hypoglycaemic effect, neurodegeneration ensued from diabetic induction.
