AM PWM Driving Circuit for Mini-LED Backlight in Liquid Crystal Displays

This work proposes a mini-LED driving circuit that adopts the pulse-width modulation (PWM) method for use in liquid-crystal display (LCD) backlight. The proposed can compensate threshold voltage ( $\text{V}_{\mathrm{ TH}}$ ) variation low-temperature poly-crystalline silicon thin-film transistor (LTPS TFT) and VSS current-resistance (I-R) rise, to generate stable current power mini-LED. Since uses PWM method, be operated at best luminance-efficacy point, minimizing consumption of circuit. electrical characteristic fabricated LTPS TFTs are measured establish simulation model demonstrate feasibility Simulation results relative error rates below 9% when varies ± 0.3 V rises by 1 V. With respect precise control gray level, time shifts pulses within 11.48 us over whole grayscale. improvement is more than 21% driven pulse amplitude modulation.
