Construction of zero autocorrelation stochastic waveforms
Stochastic waveforms are constructed whose expected autocorrelation can be made arbitrarily small outside the origin. These waveforms are unimodular and complex-valued. Waveforms with such spike like autocorrelation are desirable in waveform design and are particularly useful in areas of radar and communications. Both discrete and continuous waveforms with low expected autocorrelation are const...
متن کاملFrame properties of low autocorrelation random sequences
Research Article Somantika Datta Frame properties of low autocorrelation random sequences Abstract: The goal is to construct random frames and study properties of such frames. Starting with the construction of unimodular random sequences whose expected autocorrelations can be made arbitrarily low outside the origin, these random sequences are used to construct frames for Cd. Using recent theory...
متن کاملFamilies of Waveforms with good Auto and Cross Ambiguity Properties
We address the problem of constructing frequency hop pulse trains for use in multiuser radar and sonar systems. We suggest a new construction of a family of frequency hop waveforms with nearly ideal autoambiguity function and low crossambiguity properties across the entire family of waveforms. The ambiguity function Aj(7, v) ([7], [2]) of a transmitted signal f ( t ) measures the uncertainty wi...
متن کاملFrequency Content and Autocorrelation Function of Noisy Periodic Signals
We extract the frequency content of a noisy signal by use of Discrete Fourier Transform. Our analysis overcomes the limitations imposed by incommensurate lattices. After computing the deterministic component, we show the relevance of the method in removing spurious autocorrelations from the signal residuals. Results are presented for a temperature time series.
متن کاملAsymmetric Autocorrelation Function To Resolve Directional Ambiguity In PIV Images
Autocorrelation of a double-exposed image, unlike cross-correlation between two images, produces a correlation function that is symmetric about the origin. Thus, while it is possible to calculate the speed and direction of tracer particles in a particle image velocimetry (PIV) image using autocorrelation, it is impossible to tell whether the velocity is in the positive or negative direction. Th...
