Ameloblastic Fibroma in Mandibular Anterior Tooth Region: A Case Report

An ameloblastic fibroma (AF) is a proliferative mixed tumor which includes components of both odontogenic epithelium and mesenchymal tissue. It relatively rare neoplasm, accounting for approximately only 1.5-4.5% tumors. This case report describes an AF that occurred in the mandibular anterior tooth region 9-year-old girl who presented with chief complaint swelling left region. Intraoral examination revealed along labial gingiva, extending from lateral incisor to canine. Upon palpation, appeared comprise hard Computed tomography supernumerary impacted tooth; soft tissue density bone surrounding canine; expansion; thinning cortical bone. A biopsy was performed under local anesthesia lesion subsequently diagnosed as AF. Tumor resection extraction were carried out general anesthesia. At 2 years postoperatively prognosis good. Although relapse rarer than ameloblastoma, strict follow-up required, malignant transformation fibrosarcoma has been reported relapsed cases.
