چکیده
This paper introduces an accurate edge-based smoothed finite element method (ES-FEM) for electromagnetic analysis both two-dimensional cylindrical and three-dimensional Cartesian systems, which shows much better performance in terms of accuracy numerical stability mesh distortion compared with the traditional FEM. Unlike FEM, computational domain ES-FEM is divided into non-overlapping smoothing domains associated each edge elements, triangles tetrahedrons domain. Then, gradient technique used to smooth components stiff matrix Several experiments are carried out validate its stability. Results show that can obtain more results FEM almost independent distortion.

Development of an unified FDTD-FEM library for electromagnetic analysis with CPU and GPU computing
We describe a C++ library for electromagnetics based on the Finite-Difference Time-Domain method for transient analysis, and the Finite Element Method for modal analysis. Both methods share the same core and also both methods are optimized for CPU and GPU computing. The FEM method is applied for solving Laplace’s equation and analyzes the relation between surface curvature and electrostatic pot...
متن کاملA FEM Multiscale Homogenization Procedure using Nanoindentation for High Performance Concrete
This paper aims to develop a numerical multiscale homogenization method for prediction of elasto-viscoplastic properties of a high performance concrete (HPC). The homogenization procedure is separated into two-levels according to the microstructure of the HPC: the mortar or matrix level and the concrete level. The elasto-viscoplastic behavior of individual microstructural phases of the matrix a...
متن کاملGeneralized multiscale connected operators with applications to granulometric image analysis
In this paper, generalized granulometric size distributions and size histograms (a.k.a ‘pattern spectra’) are developed using generalized multiscale lattice operators of the opening and closing type. The generalized size histograms are applied to granulometric analysis of soilsection images. An interesting structure is obtained when the histogram is based on area openings. Furthermore, a fast i...

متن کاملDeveloping a 3D-FEM Model for Electromagnetic Analysis of an Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Machine
Recently, many optimal designs for axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) motors were performed based on finiteelement (FE) analysis. Most of the models are based on reduction of 3D problem to 2D problem which is not accurate for design aspects. This paper describes an accurate electromagnetic analysis of a surface mounted, 28 pole AFPM with concentrated stator winding. The AFPM is modeled with thr...
