An efficient and versatile biopolishing strategy to construct high performance zinc anode

چکیده
Conventional strategies for highly reversible Zn anodes usually involve complex and time-consuming production processes of current collectors, expensive toxic electrolyte additives, or the introduction inactive materials in protective layer. Here, we develop a fast, facile, environmentally friendly biopolishing method to prepare dendrite-free anodes, which merely involves simple immersion foil biocompatible cysteine aqueous solution. The ravine structure formed by sulfhydryl etching 30 min not only increases electroactive area anode but also regulates distribution electric field ions, ensuring homogeneous deposition stripping ions. biopolished can be operated steadily 2,000 h with low voltage hysteresis at density 1 mA·cm?2. In addition, cycle life 500 built soaking 5 min, proving high efficiency proposed method. This strategy is generalized substances groups polishing electrodes improved performance. cysteine-polished Zn//activated carbon supercapacitor stably run 20,000 cycles without obvious capacity attenuation. shows potential producing advanced anodes.
