An Evaluation of DIF Tests in Multistage Tests for Continuous Covariates

چکیده
Multistage tests are a widely used and efficient type of test presentation that aims to provide accurate ability estimates while keeping the relatively short. typically rely on psychometric framework item response theory. Violations models other assumptions underlying multistage test, such as differential functioning, can lead inaccurate unfair measurements. There is practical need for methods detect problematic model violations avoid these issues. This study compares evaluates three detection functioning with regard continuous person covariates in data from tests: linear logistic regression two adaptations recently proposed score-based DIF test. While all show satisfactory Type I error rate, greater power against types effects.

Conventional multiple hypothesis tests use step-up, step-down, or closed testing methods to control the overall error rates. We will discuss marrying these methods with adaptive multistage sampling rules and stopping rules to perform efficient multiple hypothesis testing in sequential experimental designs. The result is a multistage step-down procedure that adaptively tests multiple hypotheses ...
متن کاملA New Framework of Multistage Hypothesis Tests
In this paper, we have established a general framework of multistage hypothesis tests which applies to arbitrarily many mutually exclusive and exhaustive composite hypotheses. Within the new framework, we have constructed specific multistage tests which rigorously control the risk of committing decision errors and are more efficient than previous tests in terms of average sample number and the ...

in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

We consider the bootstrap method for the covariates augmented DickeyFuller (CADF) unit root test suggested in Hansen (1995) which uses related variables to improve the power of univariate unit root tests. It is shown that there are substantial power gains from including correlated covariates. The limit distribution of the CADF test, however, depends on the nuisance parameter that represents the...
