چکیده

ABSTRACT High-redshift observations are often biased towards massive and bright galaxies that not necessarily representative of the full population. In order to accurately study galaxy evolution mass assembly at these redshifts, ‘normal’ main sequence required. Here we present Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA) 0.3 arcsec resolution [C ii] emission line 158 μm HZ7, a z = 5.25. Comparing archival rest-frame UV taken by Hubble Space Telescope (HST), find strong evidence existence extended emission, which estimate be twice size yielding one first high-redshift objects where clear signature ‘Halo’ has been detected date. For matched Sérsic profile with n 1, measured effective radius 0.50 ± 0.04 (3.07 0.25 kpc) an average 0.2 (1.48 0.16 kpc). The morphology kinematics system suggest merging event resulting in non-rotating disc system. This could responsible for [CII] emission. Alternatively, some potential obscured also explain ratio. These results contribute growing consensus respect around galaxies.

A SEARCH FOR STAR-FORMING GALAXIES AT z ∼ 7− 10 IN DEEP HST NICMOS IMAGING DATA AROUND MASSIVE GALAXY CLUSTERS

We conduct a search for z & 7 dropout galaxies over 21 arcmin of deep HST NICMOS, ACS, and WFPC2 data behind 11 massive lensing clusters. In total, we find only one robust z ∼ 7 z-dropout candidate, previously reported in Abell 1689, over this entire area. Four other weaker z-dropout and J-dropout candidates are also found. The nature of the four weaker candidates could not be precisely determi...

The Spiderweb Galaxy: a Forming Massive Cluster Galaxy

We present a deep image of the radio galaxy MRC 1138 262 taken with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) at a redshift of . The galaxy is known to have properties of a cD galaxy progenitor and be surrounded z p 2.2 by a 3 Mpc–sized structure, identified with a protocluster. The morphology shown on the new deep HST ACS image is reminiscent of a spider’s web. More than 10 individual clumpy features a...

Two massive star forming regions at early evolutionary stages

We report sensitive ATCA radio continuum observations toward IRAS 15596−5301 and 16272−4837, two luminous objects (L > 2 × 10L⊙) thought to represent massive star forming regions in early stages of evolution (due to previously undetected radio emission at the 1σ level of 2 mJy per beam). Also reported are 1.2 millimeter continuum and a series of molecular line observations made with the SEST te...

Lyα Driven Outflows Around Star Forming Galaxies

We present accurate Monte-Carlo calculations of Lyα radiation pressure in a range of models which represent galaxies during various epochs of our Universe. We show that the radiation force that Lyα photons exert on hydrogen gas in the neutral intergalactic medium (IGM), that surrounds minihalos that host the first stars, may exceed gravity by orders of magnitude and drive supersonic winds. Lyα ...
