Neutron Transport Theory and Simulation

Devoted to describing neutron movement in media and the corresponding laws, neutron transport theory is the research basis for transmutation and activation, radiation damage to materials, radiation dose, and biological safety, among other topics. There are two methods for neutron transport calculation: the Monte Carlo method (also called the probabilistic method or the stochastic method) and th...

A Determinant Identity that Implies Rogers-Ramanujan

We give a combinatorial proof of a general determinant identity for associated polynomials. This determinant identity, Theorem 2.2, gives rise to new polynomial generalizations of known Rogers-Ramanujan type identities. Several examples of new Rogers-Ramanujan type identities are given.

Golden Ratio and a Ramanujan-Type Integral

In this paper, we give a pedagogical introduction to several beautiful formulas discovered by Ramanujan. Using these results, we evaluate a Ramanujan-type integral formula. The result can be expressed in terms of the Golden Ratio.

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE THEORY OF DIFFERENTIABLE STRUCTURES ON INFINITE INTEGRAL DOMAINS

A special class of differentiable functions on an infinite integral domain which is not a field is introduced. Some facts about these functions are established and the special case of z is studied in more detail
