An integrative review on cadaver practice among undergraduate nursing students

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the experiences and perceptions nursing students related their cadaver practice through an integrative review.Methods: An review conducted using Whittemore Knafl’s framework published in 2005. key words, “nursing & cadaver” anatomy” were used search peer-reviewed publications six databases. Among 373 searched articles, 15 articles selected after excluding that did not meet inclusion criteria. literature quality moderate (levels C B).Results: results from studies integrated classified into seven themes: “anxiety discomfort,” “gratitude respect for donors,” “dignity human body life,” “acceptance death,” “getting closer profession,” “enhanced understanding memory body” “enhancement learning motivation.”Conclusion: In conclusion, provided opportunity form values about dignity life death, helped understand body, motivated them approach profession nursing. It is suggested develop programs incorporate bioethics, spiritual nursing, vocation profession.
