An Introduction to BCI and Its Use in Video Games: A Review

چکیده
The input of a video game can vary from keyboard, mouse, controller, and plethora other methods. electroencephalogram (EEG) is cap worn on the head that detect electrical signals in brain. This device becoming seen as either an alternative to traditional controllers or supplement. EEG be used with computer become Brain Computer Interface (BCI), where feedback loop created between direct BCIs are increasingly being for games, whether entertainment serious purposes. In this paper, we review components BCI assess general state its use games. We describe EEG, what inputs measure, common preprocessing techniques, different machine learning algorithms. game-making side, discussing types games made. conclude paper by listing current limitations disciplines point towards possible areas need further innovation technology widespread.
