چکیده
This research effort used an upholstery factory as a case study to apply the idea of integer programming for ideal model. In order allocate limited and readily available material resources competing products (Bed (6x6ft), Bed (6x4ft), Wardrobe Side Drawer, Shoe Rack) in furniture with view maximizing profit, Revised Simplex method solving linear branch bound models were this study. The analysis was carried out help LINDO software version 6.1 using data containing availability materials, sales volume each product types, machine time it takes complete manufacturing process type, well profit per unit collected from factory. outcome indicated that 38 units 10 0 other needed be manufactured make monthly no more than ₦1711700. From result, observed (6x4ft) (6x6ft) contributed majorly hence recommendation should produced sold optimum profit.

A LINEAR PROGRAMMING MODEL FOR PRODUCTION PLANNING: AN IRANIAN CASE STUDY IN CEMENT
Production planning and inventory control efforts are known as the driving engines of manufacturing systems. The manufacturers, competing to survive in these days’ competitive business environment, aim to satisfy customers’ needs. This requires a precise production plan throughout the supply chain. These days, because of the increasing costs of production and distribution, especially in the cem...
متن کاملOptimal Airport Surface Traffic Planning Using Mixed-Integer Linear Programming
We describe an ongoing research effort pertaining to the development of a surface traffic automation system that will help controllers to better coordinate surface traffic movements related to arrival and departure traffic. More specifically, we describe the concept for a taxi-planning support tool that aims to optimize the routing and scheduling of airport surface traffic in such a way as to d...
متن کاملOptimal production and marketing planning with geometric programming approach
One of the primary assumptions in most optimal pricing methods is that the production cost is a non-increasing function of lot-size. This assumption does not hold for many real-world applications since the cost of unit production may have non-increasing trend up to a certain level and then it starts to increase for many reasons such as an increase in wages, depreciation, etc. Moreover, the prod...
متن کاملAPPLICATION OF LINEAR PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUES IN PRODUCTION PLANNING
Optimum utilization of limited resources in the production floor demands that the production manager makes decisions on the best allocation of limited resources. This study applied linear programming techniques to production planning problem in a feed mill producing company. Linear Programming model was formulated based on data obtained from the company operations’ diary. Data was processed wit...
متن کاملA Chance Constrained Integer Programming Model for Open Pit Long-Term Production Planning
The mine production planning defines a sequence of block extraction to obtain the highest NPV under a number of constraints. Mathematical programming has become a widespread approach to optimize production planning, for open pit mines since the 1960s. However, the previous and existing models are found to be limited in their ability to explicitly incorporate the ore grade uncertainty into the p...
