An Overview of EV Roaming Protocols

Roaming in electric mobility (EV roaming) enables EV users to make use of any charging station belonging other networks with only a single user registration based on roaming agreement between operators. This paper presents an overview the functionalities four major existing protocols, namely Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI), InterCharge Protocol (OICP), Clearing House (OCHP), and eMobility Inter-operation (eMIP). focuses how each protocol works terms data exchange (OCPP) which is de-facto embedded many stations available market.
