Analysis and evaluation of document-oriented structures

Document-oriented bases allow high flexibility in data representation which facilitates a rapid development of applications and enables many possibilities for structuring. Unfortunately, cases, due to this the absence modelling, choice is neglected by developers leading issues on several aspects document base application quality; e.g., memory print, redundancy, readability maintainability. We aim at facilitating study structuring alternatives providing objective metrics better reveal advantages disadvantages structure with respect user needs. The main contributions our approach are twofold. First all, semi-automatic generation suitable given an initial UML model. Second, automatic computation structural metrics, allowing comparison JSON-compatible schema abstraction. These reflect complexity intended be used decision criteria analysis design process. This work capitalises experiences MongoDB, XML software metrics. paper presents together validation scenario where we discuss how use results recommendation perspective.
