چکیده
Exploring the influence of vegetation carbon stocks over land-cover change and relationship between net primary production (NPP) is great practical importance for achieving China’s neutrality target. Therefore, this paper analyses spatio-temporal distribution NPP in Inner Mongolia from 2000 to 2020 explores stock caused by change, land cover NPP, change. The results show that main during 2000–2020 was conversion other types grassland, with bare grassland 2010 covering an area 20,634.87 km2. During period 2000–2020, high values were mainly located northeastern Mongolia, low distributed southwestern Mongolia. total storage changes affected 2000–2010 2010–2020 10,736,986.11 t 3,894,272.41 t. mean different covers were, descending order, forest > cultivated wetland artificial surfaces shrubland water bodies land. Assessment Impacts of Weather and Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) Change on Urban Vegetation Net Primary Productivity (NPP): A Case Study in Guangzhou, China
Net primary productivity (NPP) can indicate vegetation ecosystem services ability and reflect variation response to climate change and human activities. This study applied MODIS-1 km NPP products to investigate the NPP variation from 2001 to 2006, a fast urban expansion and adjustment period in Guangzhou, China, and quantify the impacts of weather and land use/land cover (LULC) changes, respect...
متن کاملLand cover/land use change in semi-arid Inner Mongolia: 1992--2004
The semi-arid grasslands in Inner Mongolia (IM) are under increasing stress owing to climate change and rapid socio-economic development in the recent past. We investigated changes in land cover/land use and landscape structure between 1992 and 2004 through the analysis of AVHRR and MODIS derived land cover data. The scale of analysis included the regional level (i.e. the whole of IM) as well a...
متن کاملChanges in vegetation net primary productivity from 1982 to 1999 in China
[1] Terrestrial net primary production (NPP) has been a central focus of ecosystem science in the past several decades because of its importance to the terrestrial carbon cycle and ecosystem processes. Modeling studies suggest that terrestrial NPP has increased in the northern middle and high latitudes in the past 2 decades, and that such increase has exhibited seasonal and spatial variability,...
متن کاملUnderstanding vegetation changes in northern China and Mongolia with change vector analysis
In recent years, a close link between vegetation change and climate change has been established. Vegetation change can be detected with remotely sensed images, especially with normalized difference vegetation index time series records. We used change vector analysis, especially change vector magnitude (CV magnitude), as an indicator to better understand vegetation change. Twenty-one layers of C...
متن کاملImpacts of urbanization on net primary productivity in the Pearl River Delta, China
Great changes in land use/land cover from rapid urbanization have occurred in the PearlRiver Delta, China. As the primary cause of land development in the urbanization process, urban expansion has mostly occurred on land with higher NPP, significantly impacting theregional ecosystems. The primary purpose of this study was to reveal the impacts of urbanexpansion on the regional NPP. The land cove...
