چکیده

Abstract. The present study addresses the potential of airborne NASA – ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) compact polarimetric (CP) data to discriminate land cover classes emphasizing urban area for parts Ahmedabad city, India. This has been carried out by generating m-Delta, m-Chi and m-Alpha decompositions using Compact Polarimetric L band NISAR data. In Hybrid data, both m-delta m-chi have almost same formulations, indicating that delta chi play roles as indicators single-bounce double-bounce scattering. However, M-delta seem preferable over M-chi stoke parameter is highly susceptible towards orientation. It also observed building orientation density effect on scattering pattern. attributed target which parallel look direction sensor. Supervised classification m-Delta decomposition was all accuracy 81.1 % in study.

Polarimetric Decomposition Analysis of Sea Ice Data

This paper explores polarimetric properties of Arctic sea ice. The analysis is performed in several steps. First, the SAR image is segmented into distinct classes using an unsupervised classification algorithm, which incorporates both polarimetric and statistical signal features. The algorithm has built in contextual smoothing through Markov Random Field modeling. The image segments are subsequ...

Analysis of Compact Polarimetric Sar Imaging Modes

Recent interest in dual-pol SAR systems has lead to a novel approach to dual-pol SAR, the so-called compact polarimetric imaging mode. The original idea, presented by Souyris et al. [1], employed a SAR system transmitting a linearly polarized wave rotated by 45° with respect to the orientation of the vertical (V) and horizontal (H) receive antennas. One then constructed pseudo quad-pol data fro...

The Extended Sub-look Analysis In Polarimetric SAR Data For Ship Detection

The monitoring of maritime areas with remote sensing is essential for security reasons and also for the conservation of environment. The synthetic aperture radar (SAR) can play an important role in this matter by considering the possibility of acquiring high-resolution images at nighttime and under cloud cover. Recently, the new approaches based on the sub-look analysis for preserving the infor...

Optimum Ensemble Classification for Fully Polarimetric SAR Data Using Global-Local Classification Approach

In this paper, a proposed ensemble classification for fully polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (PolSAR) data using a global-local classification approach is presented. In the first step, to perform the global classification, the training feature space is divided into a specified number of clusters. In the next step to carry out the local classification over each of these clusters, which cont...
