Analysis of entomological indicators and distribution of <i>Aedes aegypti</i> larvae in dengue endemic areas

Background. The cause of dengue fevers endemicity is vector larvae density, with Aedes aegypti as the prime vector. Bandung municipality a high fever endemic area. Hence, studying habitat characteristics mosquito essential to controlling populations mosquitos.
 Purpose. This study aimed identify aedes breeding sites and relationship between risk index, hygiene maya existence incidence fever.
 Method. design used in this research was cross-sectional survey. sampling technique simple random sampling. quantity sample 544 directly observed houses.
 Results. entomological parameters obtained were house index (23.89%), container (7.81%), Breteau (50.73%), larva free number (76.10%). are low category. chi-square test conveyed that significantly associated Conclusion. may influence fever. These findings results help authorities improve nest eradication attempts prevent transmission.
