چکیده
Background: Cardiotocography (CTG) is being used in all labouring women to detect intrapartum hypoxemia which further requires confirmatory tests. But a setting where these facilities are not available, umbilical artery pH analysis can help only identifying neonates with but also anticipating neonatal adverse outcomes. The aim of the study was analyse cardiotocography and its correlation outcome. Methods: Total 317 consecutive single, term, were included present study. After taking CTG, it classified into normal, non-reassuring abnormal groups according National Institute Clinical Excellence (NICE) guideline 2017. At birth cord arterial blood taken hypoxemia. same time, APGAR score at 5 minute birth, NICU admission mortality recorded. Neonates ≤7.2 considered as asphyxiated. Results: Among 48.8% had normal 35% 15.4% CTG. found be <7 17.3%, number admission. Out 113 5.9% acidosis. This much higher CTG group 11% There 6 mortalities. A statistically significant association between Conclusion: an effective screening tool that routinely for fetal hypoxia. By doing timely intervention under avoid morbidity mortality.

Objectives: To evaluate the role of intrapartum vibroacoustic stimulation (VAST) and cardiotocography (CTG) for the prediction of neonatal outcome. Materials and methods: One hundred and twenty-five patients in labor with cephalic presentation were selected and subjected to CTG and VAST was done further to find out whether fetus is reactive or nonreactive and findings were correlated with the f...
متن کاملAssociation between umbilical cord blood laboratory findings with early onset neonatal sepsis
Backgrounds: Finding an efficient biomarker or combination of them as predictors of early-onset neonatal sepsis is very important. On the other hand, the use of umbilical cord blood samples in laboratory tests, along with its simplicity and availability, reflects neonate metabolic status. Background and Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between umbilical cord bloo...

OBJECTIVE To examine whether intrapartum monitoring by means of automatic ST analysis (STAN) of fetal electrocardiography could reduce the rate of neonatal acidemia and the rate of operative intervention during labour, compared with monitoring by means of cardiotocography (CTG). DESIGN Randomised controlled trial. SETTING Labour ward in tertiary-level university hospital. SAMPLE A total o...
