Analysis of The Progressive Damage of A Notched AS4/PEEK Composite Laminate Subjected To Tensile Loading

The purpose of this work aims to assess the failure an open-hole composite laminate subjected tensile loading, using different progressive damage approaches. Within Abaqus, a user-defined material subroutine (UMAT) was developed and implemented by applying combination Puck’s criterion gradual degradation model. In addition, integrated model in Abaqus based on Hashin criteria coupled with continuous has been also considered. Moreover, effect specimen sizes behaviour AS4/PEEK performed. predicted results were compared those available literature. comparative study showed good agreement between experimental outcomes numerical predictions.
