چکیده

Abstract We present analytic integral solutions for the second-order induced gravitational waves (GWs). After presenting all possible source terms, we calculate explicitly GWs by linear scalar and tensor perturbations during matter- radiation-dominated epochs.

Exact solutions for impulsive gravitational waves∗

All impulsive waves (with no tails) in vacuum backgrounds of constant curvature (i.e. Minkowski, de Sitter and anti-de Sitter) are classified according to whether they are expanding or non-expanding. It is demonstrated that the expanding waves may, in some sense, be regarded as impulsive limits of Robinson–Trautman type N solutions.

Exact Analytic Spectrum of Relic Gravitational Waves in Accelerating Universe

An exact analytic calculation is presented for the spectrum of relic gravi-tational waves in the scenario of accelerating Universe Ω Λ + Ω m = 1. The spectrum formula contains explicitly the parameters of acceleration, inflation , reheating, and the (tensor/scalar) ratio, so that it can be employed for a variety of cosmological models. We find that the spectrum depends on the behavior of the pr...

Cosmic Microwave Background Fluctuations from Gravitational Waves: An Analytic Approach

We develop an analytic approach to calculation of the temperature and polarisation power spectra of the cosmic microwave background due to inflationary gravitational waves. This approach complements the more precise numerical results by providing insight into the physical origins of the features in the power spectra. We explore the use of analytic approximations for the gravitational-wave evolu...

Gravitational waves in an anomaly-induced inflation

The goal of the present study is to analyze the fate of gravitational waves in a background defined by an inflationary scenario created by a trace anomaly induced by quantum effects generated by matter fields in the primordial Universe [1]. This model is a generalization of the Starobinsky model [2], where a similar mechanism has been developed. The counterterms necessary to avoid divergences i...

Gravitational Waves from Gravitational Collapse

Gravitational wave emission from stellar collapse has been studied for more than three decades. Current state-of-the-art numerical investigations of collapse include those that use progenitors with more realistic angular momentum profiles, properly treat microphysics issues, account for general relativity, and examine non-axisymmetric effects in three dimensions. Such simulations predict that g...
