Analytical and numerical investigations on the one-dimensional permanent deformations of granular materials under repeated deviatoric loading

چکیده
This work proposes a theoretical framework for the permanent deformation calculation of unsaturated granular materials. The approach is based on separation Soil Water Retention Curve (SWRC) into three linear phases. representation makes unique wetting and drying paths with newly defined normalized suction s/s*. same curves deformations value are then developed. proposed initially applied to reproduce experimental two materials different water contents paths. effect deviatoric stress also considered in multi-stage loading tests. good correspondence between predicted results confirms capacity approach.
