Analytical method development and validation for simultaneous estimation of monoammonium glycyrrhizinate and sennoside-B in polyherbal laxative tablet using RP-HPLC

Abstract Background Standardization of polyherbal medicine though being the need hour is a toilsome task. Among various methods employed for quality control and standardization medicine, phytochemical profiling utmost importance as it signifies well efficacy medicine. The work was aimed to develop validate simple, quick, accurate RP-HPLC technique simultaneous assessment monoammonium glycyrrhizinate sennoside-B in laxative tablet. phytomarkers were effectively quantified by system on C 18 analytical column using gradient mobile phase consisting phosphate buffer acetonitrile with detector wavelength set at 254 nm. This developed method validated determination parameters like accuracy, linearity, precision, limit detection, quantification robustness according ICH guidelines. Results Calibration curve both showed excellent linear correlation coefficients. LOD LOQ also calculated equation. Precision studies carried out intra-day inter-day intervals RSD values found be less than 2.00%. accurate, which evident from 98.96 101.39% 99.17 100.67% recovery sennoside-B, respectively, when formulation spiked respective phytomarkers. Conclusion can tool herbal formulations accuracy precision. will assist maintaining good batch uniformity containing Yashtimadhu, Swarnpatri , Aragvadha active ingredients.
