Analytical Solution for Consolidation Behaviors of Combined Composite Foundation Reinforced with Penetrated PCCSs and Floating DM Columns

As the composite pile, precast concrete piles reinforced with cement-treated soil (PCCS) is formed by driving cement (PC) pile into deep mixing (DM) column, which has been successfully and widely utilized to support buildings embankments over soft soil. To increase spacing give full play economic merits of PCCS, a reinforcement scheme, involves combined use rigid flexible columns, employing penetrated PCCSs floating DM columns proposed for ground treatment. However, there lack feasible method consolidation behaviors this foundation (CCF) under loads. This paper developed an analytical solution predict average degree CCF based on cylinder model double-layer theory. The excess pore pressure were calculated considering penetration cushion. agrees well results obtained numerical analysis. Additionally, parametric study was conducted systematically analyze effect key influence factors CCF. indicate that rate can be much faster than natural ground. strongly depends compressive modulus area replacement ratio PCCSs. increasing inner core-outer core core-subsoil In addition, increases gravel cushion-subsoil ratio, while it decreases loading period.
