Analyze Differences in Carbon Emissions from Traditional and Prefabricated Buildings Combining the Life Cycle

Construction, as an important producer of energy, material, and waste emissions, the high energy consumption problem has not been solved. Prefabricated buildings have become more popular promoted in China recent years. This study takes prefabricated traditional cast-in-situ research objects divides into five stages: factory building materials production, component transportation, field installation, use, demolition. In addition, paper presents calculation method carbon emissions stages construction. By calculating two stages, total differences are obtained. particular, this case, were constructed at same time place. It is concluded that can reduce by about 86 kg per square meter compared with buildings. all installation stage produces most emissions. consume concrete, steel bar, diesel fewer wall than
