ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RECONSTRUCTION NUMERIC AND EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSES: INFLUENCE OF TRABECULAR BONE CONSTITUTIVE MODEL

چکیده
Abstract INTRODUCTION The number of variables that influence the success an ACL reconstruction is such that, use numerical tools becomes increasingly necessary. In this work, a finite element model developed to simulate in its tibial insertion. MATERIAL AND METHODS Tibiae and ligaments porcine samples were used work. As fixation, interference screw with nominal diameter 7mm length 25mm used. plasty which replace injured ligament was characterize using tensile tests. Uniaxial confined compression tests, as well indentation for characterizing trabecular bone. Finite methods implementation simulation, studies effect knee joint all elements involved (plasty, bone screw). RESULTS None models available description behavior (von Mises, Hill Crushable Foam), capable doing it completely proper manner. one or other constitutive does not greatly simulation results. CONCLUSIONS has strongly anisotropic non-symmetric mechanical behavior, none code fully describing it. Thus, von Mises criterion recommended, easiest define requires least resources (lower computational cost).

Failure of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
The present review classifies and describes the multifactorial causes of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery failure, concentrating on preventing and resolving such situations. The article particularly focuses on those causes that require ACL revision due to recurrent instability, without neglecting those that affect function or produce persistent pain. Although primary ACL reconstructio...

متن کاملRestoring Nature Through Individualized Anatomic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Surgery
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery has significantly evolved in recent years. This has led to development of new technologies that facilitate the diagnosis of ACL injury and the application of state of the art methods for treatment. In particular, individualized anatomical ACL reconstruction aims to restore native ACL function. Treatment is tailored to each patient based on...

Background: Injuries to ligaments of knee are common in our society especially in the young athletes and sports men participating in football, volleyball, rugby etc. Tears of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) leads to knee instability which leads to inability to participate in sports. In the none athletes ACL injury tends to decline in their level of daily activity. This is a study of ACL te...
