چکیده

The present study developed a green metallochromic sensor that detects aluminium (Al(III)) ions in solution and solid state using anthocyanin extract from purple onion peels embedded bacterial cellulose nanofibers (BCNFs). CIE Lab colour parameters demonstrated Al(III) binding causes sensible change colour. A variety of metal including K+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Hg2+, Cr2+, Pb2+ Ni2+ were used to challenge the determine its selectivity. findings suggested showed excellent selectivity toward ion. is quantitatively detected by sensing method with detection limits range between 30–200 20–300 ppm state, respectively, through observation naked eye. fabricated promising be simple, cheap, mobile easily operable for real-time on-site food matrices.

Naked-eye and Selective Detection of Mercury (II) Ions in Mixed Aqueous Media Using a Cellulose-based Support

A test paper for high-selectivity detecting Hg2+ ions in mixed acetonitrile-watersolutions has been achieved using a bis(ferrocenyl) azine, as chromogenic chemosensormolecule, and a solid cellulose fibre, as a substrate. Depending on the amount of mercuryions in contact with the detecting molecule a spectacular color change in the celluloseindicator is produced, being possible to determine the ...

An Electrochemical Sensor Based on Novel Ion Imprinted Polymeric Nanoparticles for Selective Detection of Lead Ions

In this study, the novel surface ion-imprinted polymer (IIP) particles were prepared and applied as a electrode modifier in stripping voltammetric detection of lead(II) ion. A carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with IIP nanoparticles and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was used for accumulation of toxic lead ions. Various factors that govern on electrochemical signals including carbon...

Self-powered sensor for naked-eye detection of serum trypsin.

Here, we report a device for the detection of the proteolytic enzyme trypsin, which is a biomarker for pancreatitis. The sensor is self-powered, easy to use, and signals the presence of trypsin via a light-emitting diode (LED) that is visible to the unaided eye. Assay time is ∼3 h, and the limit of detection is 0.5 μg/mL, which is within the range required for detection of trypsin at levels sig...
