Aortic hemodynamic and morphological analysis before and after repair of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm using a G-Branch endograft

Background and objective: The G-Branch endograft is a novel multibranched “off-the-shelf” device used to repair thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (TAAAs). This report describes the hemodynamic morphological performance of in human patient with TAAA. Materials methods: We retrospectively reviewed computed tomography angiography scans clinical data woman whom TAAA was treated using endograft. Patient-specific three-dimensional models were reconstructed, computational fluid dynamics indicators analyzed before after implantation device. Results: From perspective, there an increase cross-sectional area all bridging stent grafts over time. Blood flow redistributed among renovisceral arteries, decrease rate celiac artery left renal artery. Laminar blood smoother more rapid remained stable during follow-up. In grafts, recirculation zones found superior mesenteric as well distal sealing both arteries. Furthermore, higher time-averaged wall shear stress lower oscillatory index relative resident time grafts. Quantitative analysis showed obvious reduction surface ratio elevated G-branch implantation. Conclusion: revascularization branch vessels occurred following implantation, improvements arising not only from changes but also alterations. long-term needs further investigation validation.
