Applicability of Nickel-Based Catalytic Systems for Hydrodehalogenation of Recalcitrant Halogenated Aromatic Compounds

چکیده

This review summarizes recent applications of nickel as a nonprecious metal catalyst in hydrodehalogenation (HDH) reactions halogenated aromatic compounds (Ar–Xs). Nickel-based HDH catalysts were developed for reductive treatment both waste containing concentrated Ar–Xs (mainly polychlorinated benzenes) and wastewater contaminated with Ar–Xs. Ni-catalyzed enables the production corresponding nonhalogenated products (Ar–Hs), which are principally further applicable/recyclable and/or Ar–Hs, much more biodegradable can be mineralized during aerobic treatment. Developed methods enable utilization gaseous hydrogen via direct process or other chemical reductants source utilized transfer process. highlights major developments topic since 1990.
