چکیده
Depleting good quality natural aggregates and soils call for the need of use industrial by-products waste materials in road construction. Use wastes construction consume large quantities resolve issue their safe disposal. Class C fly ash is by-product from thermal power plants while quarry dust left behind during quarrying processes. This study investigated application class mix utilization subbase layer flexible pavement. The mixed were studied with help unconfined compressive strength test, repeated load triaxial durability test microstructural analysis. mixture 90% plus 10% was found to be suitable respect criteria used as material Owing formation cementitious phases pozzolanic reaction, proposed demonstrated significantly higher resilient modulus than conventional granular material. service life ratio pavement 1.2 1.26 fatigue rutting respectively compared an economical well sustainable solution

Center for By-Products Utilization UTILIZATION OF FLY ASH AS A CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL IN CHINA
China has one of the largest coal mining industries in the world. Electricity in this country is mostly generated by coal-fired electric power plants. These plants produce huge amounts of ash each year. In 1988, Shanghai city alone produced nearly 1.8 million tons of ash. During the last two decades, a substantial amount of research work conducted by the Shanghai Research Institute of Building ...
متن کاملThe use of stabilized fly ash as a green material in pavement substructure: A review
Fly ash is a waste produced in coal-fired thermal power stations. It has pozzolanic properties and can therefore be stabilized to achieve higher strength and durability required for use as pavement substructure specifically as subbase or base layer material. The stabilization of fly ash can be achieved by adding either cement, lime or other materials. Stabilization of fly ash with available ind...

This research is conducted with a view to investigate performance of concrete containing high volumes of ASTM Class C fly ash. A portland cement concrete, proportioned to have 28-day compressive strength of 6,000 psi (41 N4Pa) is used in this study. Concrete mixes are also proportioned to have various levels of cement replacement by fly ash ranging from 40% to 70% by weight. Concrete performanc...

The fly ash is a waste produced mostly from the burning of coal in thermal power station which contributes to environmental pollution. It is naturally-cementitious coal combustion by-product. Many studies have been reported in the literature on the performance evaluation of soil – fly ash system as well soil-fly ashfiber system. Although ample studies have been reported with randomly distribute...

Cement kiln dust produced in a local cement production plant in Saudi Arabia, along with fly ash resulting from combustion of heavy fuel oil in a local power generation plant were utilized as waste materials blended with ordinary Portland cement at various ratios. These blends were tested for their water requirements for normal consistency, initial setting times, and compression and tensile str...
