Application of high-thermal-conductivity diamond for space phased array antenna

Active phased array antenna typically featured high performance, device integration, and heat flux, making it difficult to dissipate heat. Diamond, the substance with closest arrangement of atoms in nature, has advantages a thermal conductivity strong adaptability space environment. The batch applications high-thermal-conductivity diamonds for management antennas inter-satellite links were introduced this paper. diamond was developed by direct-current arc-plasma chemical vapor deposition method. product size, conductivity, precision, application scale all met engineering requirements. high-precision assembly structural frame enabled efficient collection transfer from distributed point sources multiple transmit/receive (T/R) modules. Verified on ground, matching design between metal exhibited an outstanding dissipation performance. After four satellites using launched, flight data showed good control, temperature gradients T/R modules less than 2.2 °C, further verifying rationality effectiveness implementation antennas.
