Approaches for improving the efficiency of protected OS components fuzzing

چکیده

Fuzzing as a part of the continuous integration is necessary tool, aimed primarily at providing confidence in software being developed. At same time, presence significant amounts source code, fuzzing becomes resource-intensive task. That’s why increasing efficiency to reach needed code sections more quickly without reducing quality an important line research. The article deals with approaches improve both for kernel and user-space software. On other hand, on these program static analysis produces huge number warnings about possible errors, main resources within this type are required not obtain result, but analytical processing. In regard, considerable attention paid approach correlating results dynamic using developed which also allows implement directed order confirm analyzer, significantly increases testing components protected OS Astra Linux.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

kAFL: Hardware-Assisted Feedback Fuzzing for OS Kernels

Many kinds of memory safety vulnerabilities have been endangering software systems for decades. Amongst other approaches, fuzzing is a promising technique to unveil various software faults. Recently, feedback-guided fuzzing demonstrated its power, producing a steady stream of security-critical software bugs. Most fuzzing efforts—especially feedback fuzzing—are limited to user space components o...

The Flux OS Toolkit: Reusable Components for OS Implementation

To an unappreciated degree, research both in operating systems and their programming languages has been severely hampered by the lack of cleanly reusable code providing mundane low-level OS infrastructure such as bootstrapcode and device drivers. The Flux OS Toolkit solves this problem by providing a set of clean, well-documented components. These components can be used as basic buildingblocks ...
