چکیده
Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the fetal thymus size by sonography in healthy, small for gestational age (SGA), and growth restriction (FGR) pregnancies investigate if there is a difference between healthy fetuses those with restriction.
Study Design: thymic-thoracic ratio (TTR), transverse diameter, perimeter were prospectively measured SGA FGR ages 20 37 weeks compared controls. Fetal abdominal circumference (AC) or estimated weight (EFW)

Comparative Assessment of Ultrasound Placental Findings in Small for Gestational Age and Normal-Weight Fetuses
Background Small for gestational age (SGA) refers to newborns whose birth weight is less than the 10th percentile for gestational age. The aim of this study was to provide a comparative assessment of ultrasound placental findings in SGA and normal-weight fetuses in singleton pregnant women. Materials and Methods In...

OBJECTIVE To compare maternal cardiac function in women with intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) to those with small-for-gestational age (SGA) pregnancies (non-IUGR). METHODS This was a cross-sectional study involving maternal echocardiography and uterine, umbilical and fetal middle cerebral artery Doppler assessment in 52 normotensive women at 20-36 weeks' gestation with SGA fetuses (26 I...
متن کاملAssessment of fetal left cardiac isovolumic relaxation time in appropriate and small-for-gestational-age fetuses.
Left ventricular isovolumic relaxation time was studied in 22 appropriate-for-gestational-age fetuses (AGA, 26-40 wk) and 12 small-for-gestational-age fetuses (SGA, 29-37 wk). Left ventricular isovolumic relaxation time was determined from the interval between aortic valve closure and maximal left atrial dimension by M-mode, and from the interval between aortic valve closure artefact and onset ...
متن کاملAortic Intima-Media Thickness and Aortic Diameter in Small for Gestational Age and Growth Restricted Fetuses
OBJECTIVE The objective of this study is to measure aortic intima-media thickness (aIMT) and aortic diameter (AD) in appropriate for gestational age (AGA) fetuses, small for gestational age (SGA) fetuses, and intrauterine growth restricted (IUGR) fetuses. METHODS Case-control study performed between June 2011 and June 2012. Forty-nine AGA fetuses, 40 SGA fetuses, and 35 IUGR fetuses underwent...
متن کاملUltrasonographic fetal scapular length measurement for assessment of gestational age
one of the major goals of antenatal care is estimation of gestational age.the most widely used parameters for evaluation of fetal growth are biparietal diameter (BPD),femoral length (FL) and adbominal circumference (AC).to determine the value of prenatal ultrasonographic scapula measurements for fetal growth and gesattional age a prospective ultrasonographic cross-sectional study was conducted ...
