Assessment of public open space research hotspots, vitalities, and outlook using CiteSpace

Urbanization is essential for human development and progress. Therefore, it urgent to study urban public open space (POS) under the dual impact of urbanization construction global COVID-19 outbreak. Bibliometric visual analysis currently popular in academia, as can be used analyze specific fields. This research summarizes history, hotspots, trends POS, with theoretical data support based on Web Science (WoS) Core Collection. The period was from 2002 2022. A total 398 papers were collected, number increasing over time. covers various fields, including environment, architecture, ecology, geography, design, behavior, etc. results show that POS hotspots include form layout, social value, sustainable renewal. paper demonstrates there a lack vitality POS. Although affected by pandemic, fundamental reason this not created multiple dimensions.
