چکیده
BACKGROUND: According to the most recent Egyptian demographic health census, estimated Hepatitis C virus (HCV) prevalence in 15–59 age range was 14.7%. Globally, incidence of renal impairment HCV-positive individuals is 40% higher than HCV-negative patients. HCV-induced can from mild-to-severe, and it frequently complicates treatment outcome HCV infection. AIM: This study aimed explore changes function patients treated with a combination Sofosbuvir (SOF) Daclatasvir (DCV). METHODOLOGY: Six hundred eleven chronic SOF-DCV were enrolled. Patients classified into three groups according their baseline function: unimpaired group (estimated glomerular filtration rate [eGFR] ≥ 90 ml/min/1.73 m2), mildly impaired (eGFR ≥60–89 moderately ≥30–59 m2). Every month during at 24 weeks after (sustained virological response 24), eGFR level evaluated. RESULTS: Our findings indicated that significantly increased (p < 0.001) all but subsequent decline documented 6 months treatment. Multivariate analysis identified (<90 m2, p anemia as independent risk factors for deterioration end CONCLUSION: Clinical physicians should closely monitor SOF-DCV. Furthermore, therapy prior be recommended.

Daclatasvir plus sofosbuvir for HCV infection: an oral combination therapy with high antiviral efficacy.
BACKGROUND: All-oral combination therapy is desirable for patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. We evaluated daclatasvir (an HCV NS5A replication complex inhibitor) plus sofosbuvir (a nucleotide analogue HCV NS5B polymerase inhibitor) in patients infected with HCV genotype 1, 2, or 3. METHODS: In this open-label study, we initially randomly assigned 44 previously untreated pa...
متن کاملSofosbuvir and daclatasvir combination therapy in a liver transplant recipient with severe recurrent cholestatic hepatitis C.
Recurrent HCV infection following liver transplantation can lead to accelerated allograft injury that is difficult to treat with interferon. The aim of this study is to describe the first ever use of an interferon-free, all oral regimen in a liver transplant recipient with severe recurrent HCV. A 54-year-old male with HCV genotype 1b developed severe cholestatic HCV at 6 months posttransplant w...
متن کاملDaclatasvir plus Sofosbuvir for HCV in Patients Coinfected with HIV-1.
BACKGROUND The combination of daclatasvir, a hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5A inhibitor, and the NS5B inhibitor sofosbuvir has shown efficacy in patients with HCV monoinfection. Data are lacking on the efficacy and safety of this combination in patients coinfected with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1). METHODS This was an open-label study involving 151 patients who had not received HCV...
