چکیده

Abstract Background The objective of this study was to use CBCT look into the root canal morphology maxillary premolars in a Saudi Arabian subpopulation and associate results existing classifications. Methods sample size for analysis 500 right left untreated first second with fully formed roots from 250 residents (125 male 125 female). following observations were made using on teeth related: (1) number roots; (2) each according Vertucci's classification. frequency similarities between sides, as well females males, studied. Chi-square test used assess results. Results Of studied, 199 had one (39.8%), whilst 293 (58.6%) two-rooted. Three-rooted found 8 (1.6%). For premolars, 416 (83.2%), 79 (15.8%) two rest 5 (1.0%) three roots. There significant differences groups (p > 0.05). premolar, Type IV most frequent, accounting 57.8% (n = 289), followed by type II (32.8%, n 164). I mainly occurrence 302 (60.4%), (16.4%, 82). Conclusions majority canals, while common anatomical configuration premolars. Additional forms do occur occasion, clinicians should pay close attention them.

Evaluation of mandibular premolars root canal morphology by cone beam computed tomography

Introduction: To achieve a successful endodontic treatment, the clinician has to identify the different canal configurations.mandibular premolars have the wide variety of root canal morphology and they are known as the most difficult teeth to treat in endodontics.CBCT  provides a non-invasive 3D confirmatory diagnosis as a complement to conventional radiography. The aim of this study was to...

Cone Beam Computed Tomography Study of Root and Canal Morphology of Mandibular Premolars in Indore Population

Knowledge of the variations in root and root canal morphology is mandatory for the success of endodontic treatment. Neglecting to probe, prepare and fill all the canals can lead to failure of endodontic treatment 1 . As a group the mandibular premolars are among the most difficult teeth to treat endodontically, because they have high incidence of multiple roots or canals 2 . Moreover their root...

Cone-beam Computed Tomography Analysis of the Root Canal Morphology of Maxillary First and Second Premolars in a Spanish Population.

INTRODUCTION We investigated the root canal configuration of maxillary premolars in a Spanish population by using cone-beam computed tomography. METHODS Images of 804 maxillary first and second premolars were obtained from 620 patients who underwent cone-beam computed tomography scanning during preoperative assessment (before implant surgery, orthodontic treatment, dentoalveolar trauma diagno...

BACKGROUND The aim of the study was to determine the root canal morphology of permanent mandibular incisor teeth in the Indian subpopulation with the use of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). MATERIAL/METHODS CBCT images of 200 patients with 800 permanent mandibular incisors, fulfilling necessary inclusion criteria and aged 18 to 60 years were evaluated. The number of roots, number of root...
