چکیده

Abstract Background Tear meniscus is one of the most important indices for therapeutic evaluation in treatment obstruction lacrimal drainage system, which can be assessed by slit lamp examination and fluorescein dye disappearance test as a semi quantitative measurement. Recently Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography has enabled noninvasive assessment tear meniscus. Objective To evaluate if measurement anterior segment OCT(AS-OCT) reliable method improvement after Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) compared to other known methods include passages irrigation. Patients Methods A prospective interventional study that included 16 eyes from 15 patients with primary acquired nasolacrimal duct who received external (ex-DCR) March 2019 till November 2019, were evaluated prospectively on their height (TMH), area (TMA), volume (TMV) changes AS-OCT. Measurements performed before surgery 3 months surgery. Results The results showed highly significant decrease all parameters (TMH, TMA, TMV) DCR (PANDO), we concluded AS-OCT TM noninvasively quantitatively, therefore it used Conclusion Perioperative ex-DCR quantitatively use AS-OCT, DCR,

Analysis of anterior segment dynamics using anterior segment optical coherence tomography before and after laser peripheral iridotomy.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate changes in the speed of pupil constriction and in anterior segment parameters after laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI) in patients with angle closure using anterior segment optical coherence tomography. METHODS In this prospective observational study, videos of pupil and anterior segment changes in response to illumination were captured with real-time video recording using...

Automatic dynamic tear meniscus measurement in optical coherence tomography

An image processing algorithm is developed for quantitative assessment of tear meniscus dynamics from continuous optical coherence tomography (OCT) measurements. Clinical utility of dynamic OCT tear meniscus measurement is assessed in studies of tear meniscus parameters. The results indicate that any apparent changes in the early post-blink phase meniscus parameters are essentially related to t...

Changes in the anterior segment after cycloplegia with a biometer using swept-source optical coherence tomography

The aim of this study was to investigate changes in the anterior segment of the eye after cycloplegia. A biometer combined with swept-source optical coherence tomography (SSOCT) was used for measurements. Patients with strabismus or amblyopia who underwent cycloplegia were included. The axial length, central corneal thickness, anterior chamber depth, and lens thickness were measured with the bi...

Changes in Anterior Chamber Configuration after Cataract Surgery as Measured by Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography

PURPOSE To evaluate the changes in anterior chamber depth (ACD) and angle width induced by phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in normal eyes using anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT). METHODS Forty-five eyes (45 patients) underwent AS-OCT imaging to evaluate anterior chamber configuration before and 2 days after phacoemulsification and IOL implantat...

Anterior Segment Time Domain Optical Coherence Tomography

To compare anterior segment parameters using quantitative imaging by anterior segment time domain optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) and high frequency ultrasound biomicroscopy (HF-UBM). SETTING: Department of Ophthalmology at Bari University. METHODS: Seventy-two eyes of 72 subjects had anterior segment evaluation by AS-OCT (Stratus ver 6Zeiss) and HF-UBM (OTI-Scan HF35-50). Central corneal...
