Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Primary intervention in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is often followed by the second-stage procedure when other atherosclerotic lesions are present. However, there no data regarding early effects such a strategy on left ventricular function. Speckle-tracking echocardiography has been proven sensitive method assessing myocardial Purpose The study aimed to assess results second stage percutaneous (PCI) patients with ACS. Methods group consisted 61 aged from 47 92 (mean age 66,3± 9,8) years, 21 women (34,4%) and 40 men (65,6%) who had treatment involved culprit-lesion only. All pts were optimally treated ischemic heart disease. PCI was performed up four months after Patients underwent transthoracic 48 hours before PCI. Using automated functional imaging (AFI), we analyzed global longitudinal strain (GLS) ventricle, GLS four-chamber view (GLS-4CH), two-chamber (GLS-2CH), three-chamber (GLS-3CH). We also assessed mean peak segments according standard assignment artery territories, i.e. anterior descending (LAD), right (RCA) circumflex (LCX). Results following group: 33 procedures artery, 15 13 artery. value ventricle slightly reduced compared currently established norm (GLS= −16.7%). did not result changes GLS. observe any significant territories (Table 1). Conclusions Despite sensitivity deformation technique function, present work does show an effect either or allocated each arterial territory.

Dynamic changes in purine catabolism in patients with acute coronary syndrome that underwent percutaneous coronary intervention

Background: Cardiovascular diseases are global problems. They are causes of death in about 43% of people worldwide and may become the most widespread reason of death by 2020. The prognosis is directly dependent to immediate diagnosis and on time treatment. Introduction of new biochemical markers as the early diagnosis of complications after coronary revascularization is very important in this p...

Current practice of percutaneous coronary intervention on patients with acute coronary syndrome in Iran: A prospective observational study

Background: Frequent Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) procedures are being performed on a daily basis in Iran. However, no study has been reported on the current PCI practice in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in Iran. We aimed to describe the clinical characteristics and treatment patterns in Iranian ACS patients treated with PCI.    Methods: Between February 2017 and July...

effect of elective percutaneous coronary intervention on left ventricular function in patients with coronary artery disease

coronary artery disease is one of the most common causes of mortality and morbidity across the world. its treatment includes medical treatment, coronary artery bypass graft (cabg) and percutaneous coronary intervention (pci). the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of pci on echocardiographic findings of left ventricular (lv) systolic and diastolic function. 115 patients with co...

Predictors of Long-Term Survival in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients With Left Ventricular Dysfunction After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Predictive factors of mortality in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients with left ventricular dysfunction were analyzed during 5-year clinical follow-up after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). SUBJECTS AND METHODS A total of 329 ACS consecutive patients (64.6±11.3 years, 227 males) who underwent PCI from January 2001 to March 2006 were followed for 5 years....
