چکیده
Aims: Present study is aimed to find out the association between maternal thyroid hormone at delivery and weight of delivered fetus.
Study Design: This a case-control in which low birth was cases appropriate for gestational age were considered as control.
Place Duration Study: conducted National Institute Pathology (ICMR), New Delhi Department Biotechnology, Invertis University, Bareilly from July 2018 2020.
Subjects Methods: A total 193 blood samples collected fetal parameters recorded per inclusion criteria. Quantitative estimation Triiodothyronine (T3), Thyroxine (T4), Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) done separated serum by pre-coated ELISA kits data analysis performed using SigmaStat. Cases include women having full-term deliveries with < 2.5Kg i.e. Low Birth Weight (LBW) Controls includes Appropriate Gestational Age (AGA) > 2.5Kg.
Results: No significant difference observed well marriage other demographic parameters, while BMI significantly less LBW compared AGA 49.62±5.34 & 53.96±6.92 21.32±4.01 22.66±1.57 respectively P<0.001. Pearson correlation coefficient also revealed negative T4 both length positive T3 weight, length, head circumference, whereas TSH did not show any parameters.
Conclusion: It concluded that affects development during period, parameters.

Association between maternal and fetal weight gain: cohort study.
CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE Excessive gestational weight gain is related to many complications (both maternal and fetal), such as macrosomia. The most common complications in macrosomic fetuses include: increased risk of intrauterine death, need for intensive care, fractures, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia, paralysis of the brachial plexus and obesity in childhood and adulthood. The aim of this study wa...
متن کاملLack of association between high serum thyroid-stimulating hormone level and risk of papillary thyroid microcarcinomas.
BACKGROUND High serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) is associated with thyroid carcinoma in patients with thyroid nodules. However, previous studies suggests that TSH is not involved in the pathogenesis of small thyroid carcinomas. We performed this study to evaluate serum TSH as a malignancy predictor in the assessment of small thyroid nodules. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed 3791 pa...
متن کاملMaternal and fetal thyroid function.
Conception is followed by a series of hormonal and metabolic changes that involve most maternal endocrine systems. With regard to thyroid metabolism, these include an increase in serum thyroxine-binding globulin and thyroid hormone concentrations, increased renal clearance of iodine, and increased production and turnover of thyroxine (T). Fetal and maternal thyroid physiology differ, but the sy...

The search for the cause of gender nonconformity and homosexuality has been extensive. Researchers have proposed a variety of different causes, from early childhood experiences to birth order to hormonal influences,1-3 but have yet to pinpoint a reliable explanation of our sexual orientation. Prior research into biological influences of sexual orientation has focused on adult hormone levels,3 a...
