Atomic bonding and electrical characteristics of two-dimensional graphene/boron nitride van der Waals heterostructures with manufacturing defects via binding energy and bond-charge model

We used the binding energy-bond-charge model to study atomic bonding and electrical properties of two-dimensional graphene/BN van der Waals heterostructure. manipulated its by manufacturing defects. discovered that this process yielded a band structure with flat band, i.e., horizontal without dispersion at Fermi level. Thus, our research is significant because it first report on defect heterostructures.
