چکیده
Mobile edge computing (MEC) has been recognized as a promising technique to provide enhanced computation services for low-power wireless devices at the network edge. How evaluate timeliness of task and data delivery is critical development MEC applications. Considering powered system, in this letter we study average age information (AoI), which crucial performance metric measure freshness information. Specifically, considered sensor node harvests energy from an transmitter transmits tasks server. The charging time node’s capacitor, waiting service server are taken into account when calculating AoI. closed-form expression AoI obtained accordingly evaluated through numerical simulations.

Wireless Powered Cooperation-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing
This paper studies a mobile edge computing (MEC) system in which two mobile devices are energized by the wireless power transfer (WPT) from an access point (AP) and they can offload part or all of their computation-intensive latency-critical tasks to the AP connected with an MEC server or an edge cloud. This harvest-then-offload protocol operates in an optimized timedivision manner. To overcome...
متن کاملInformation-Centric Wireless Networks with Mobile Edge Computing
In order to better accommodate the dramatically increasing demand for data caching and computing services, storage and computation capabilities should be endowed to some of the intermediate nodes within the network. In this paper, we design a novel virtualized heterogeneous networks framework aiming at enabling content caching and computing. With the virtualization of the whole system, the comm...
متن کاملAn ADMM Based Method for Computation Rate Maximization in Wireless Powered Mobile-Edge Computing Networks
In this paper, we consider a wireless powered mobile edge computing (MEC) network, where the distributed energyharvesting wireless devices (WDs) are powered by means of radio frequency (RF) wireless power transfer (WPT). In particular, the WDs follow a binary computation offloading policy, i.e., data set of a computing task has to be executed as a whole either locally or remotely at the MEC ser...
متن کاملAn Information System for a Mobile Wireless Computing Environment Mobisaic: an Information System for a Mobile Wireless Computing Environment
Mobisaic is a World Wide Web information system designed to serve users in a mobile wireless computing environment. Mobisaic extends the Web by allowing documents to both refer and react to potentially changing contextual information, such as one's current location in the wireless network. Mobisaic relies on client-side processing of HyperText Markup Language documents that support two new conc...
متن کاملComputation Rate Maximization for Wireless Powered Mobile-Edge Computing with Binary Computation Offloading
Finite battery lifetime and low computing capability of size-constrained wireless devices (WDs) have been longstanding performance limitations of many low-power wireless networks, e.g., wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and Internet of Things (IoT). The recent development of radio frequency (RF) based wireless power transfer (WPT) and mobile edge computing (MEC) technologies provide promising sol...
