Awareness, attitudes towards plagiarism, and acceptance of using Turnitin in academic writings among undergraduate students

The purpose of this study was to examine the association awareness plagiarism, attitudes towards plagiarism and acceptance using Turnitin among undergraduate students in a public university. conducted on 143 at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Negeri Sembilan campus. Data collected an online questionnaire Google Form platform. These took Academic Writing subject. ordinal data were 5-point Likert Scale. By studying normality Kolmogorov-Smirnov Shapiro-Wilk statistical tests, between Turnitin, can be made. tests compared sample's scores normally distributed set with same mean standard deviation. This paper presents major findings from non-parametric correlations (Spearman’s rank-order Kendall Tau-b) suggests future research direction increasing undergraduates’ when submitting their academic assignments. To curb undergraduates writing course, authors propose policy within institutions, strict sanctions teach how avoid use Turnitin.
