Abstract Rare‐earth metal‐mediated group‐transfer polymerization (REM‐GTP) offers distinctive features over common techniques, such as living character, a broad scope of functional monomers, high activity, excellent control the polymeric parameters well inherent chain‐end functionalization. Through latter, polymers with reactive end‐groups become feasible, opening pathway for further post‐polymerization In this study, straightforward graft‐to immobilization Michael‐type polymer poly(diethyl vinylphosphonate) (PDEVP) on multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) is reported. Hence, customized azide initiator synthesized and studied in CH bond activation various lanthanide‐based catalysts subsequent diethyl vinylphosphonate (DEVP). The successful attachment end‐group demonstrated via electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI‐MS) are subjected to approach. prepared MWCNT:PDEVP composites analyzed thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), elemental (EA), Raman spectroscopy, X‐Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) versatility approach shown stabilization MWCNT dispersions water.
