Bacterial Community Composition and Chromophoric Dissolved Organic Matter Differs with Culture Time of Skeletonema dohrnii

چکیده
Skeletonema dohrnii is a common red tide microalgae occurring in the coastal waters and throughout world. The associated heterotrophic or autotrophic bacteria play vital roles regulating algal growth, production, physiology. In this study, we investigated detailed bacterial community structure with growth of S. dohrnii’s using high-throughput sequencing-based on 16S rDNA. Our results demonstrated that Bacteroidetes (48.04%) Proteobacteria (40.66%) all samples accounted for majority populations. There was significant linear regression relationship between abundance phyla culture time. Notable shifts composition were observed during growth: Flavobacteriales vast sequences at order level. Furthermore, relative Rhodobacterales gradually reduced whole process (0–12 days). However, beyond that, Marinobacter slowly increasing. It noteworthy five fluorophores (Peaks T1, T2, I, M, A) detected stage dohrnii. characteristic indexes (fluorescence index, humification biological index) chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) also varied addition, taxa had certain effects CDOM they inextricably linked to each other.

We evaluated the effect of photochemical alterations of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) on bacterial abundance, activity and community composition in a coastal lagoon of the Atlantic Ocean with high dissolved organic carbon concentration. On two occasions during the austral summer, bacteria-free water of the lagoon was exposed to different regions of the solar spectrum (full solar ...
متن کاملThe global distribution and dynamics of chromophoric dissolved organic matter.
Chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) is a ubiquitous component of the open ocean dissolved matter pool, and is important owing to its influence on the optical properties of the water column, its role in photochemistry and photobiology, and its utility as a tracer of deep ocean biogeochemical processes and circulation. In this review, we discuss the global distribution and dynamics of CD...

The distribution and optical absorption characteristics of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) were systematically investigated along three meridional transects in the North Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea conducted as part of the 2003 US CLIVAR/CO2 Repeat Hydrography survey. Hydrographic transects covered in aggregate a latitudinal range of 51 to 621 north along longitudes 201W (line...

The long-term goal of the project is to investigate the distributions of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) in the New York/New Jersey Harbor and New York Bight system so as to facilitate a deeper understanding of the source and processes that control CDOM distributions in estuarine and coastal waters. CDOM source strengths and photochemical degradation processes were incorporated int...
