Bayesian Analysis for Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Ischemic Heart Disease

چکیده

Ischemic heart disease (or Coronary Artery Disease) is the most common cause of death in various countries, characterized by reduced blood supply to heart. Statistical models make an impact evaluating risk factors that are responsible for mortality and morbidity during IHD (Ischemic disease). In general, geometric or Poisson distributions can underestimate zero-count probability hence it difficult identify significant effects covariates improving conditions due regional wall motion abnormalities. this work, a flexible class zero inflated introduced. A Bayesian estimation method developed as alternative traditionally used maximum likelihood-based methods analyze such data. Simulation studies show proposed has better small sample performance than classical method, with tighter interval estimates coverage probabilities. Although prevention CAD long been focus public health policy, clinical medicine, biomedical scientific investigation, prevalence remains high despite current strategies treatment. Various comprehensive searches have performed MEDLINE, HealthSTAR, Global Health databases providing insights into traditional emerging CAD. real-life data set illustrated using WinBUGS.

periodontal disease as a risk factor for ischemic heart disease

background: coronary artery disease is recognized as one of the three major causes of mortality around the world. the role of inflammation in producing coronary artery disease has been established in previous studies. since periodontitis, which is highly prevalent, is considered as a cause of inflammation, its influence on producing coronary artery disease was investigated in the present study ...

The risk factors for ischemic heart disease in Tibetan highlanders.

The risk factors for ischemic heart disease (IHD) in 35 Tibetan highlanders were investigated and compared with those in 30 age- and sex-matched healthy Japanese controls. Although Tibetans had remarkably high hematocrit values, and a decrease of eicosapentaenoic acid in both serum total lipids and serum phospholipid (PL) possibly due to their diet, they were considered to have a low incidence ...

Prevalence of major coronary heart disease risk factors in Iran

Background and aims: Coronary heart diseases (CHDs) contribute to mortality, morbidity, disability, productivity and quality of life. This study was aimed to determine the prevalence of major risk factors for CHD in the provinces of Iran. Methods: This study reported pre-existing data and was of secondary, descriptive type. Prevalence of non-communicable disease (NCD) risk factors was def...

Lifestyle and Hemostatic Risk Factors for Ischemic Heart Disease

We have recently shown that fibrin D-dimer, tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) antigen, von Willebrand factor antigen, fibrinogen, plasma viscosity, and white cell count are associated with subsequent ischemic heart disease (IHD) in men aged 49 to 65 years in the Caerphilly Study from South Wales. We now report the contribution of major lifestyle factors to plasma levels of these new risk predi...

Heartbeat: Ischemic heart disease risk factors in women.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women worldwide. Despite the known sex differences in clinical presentation, management and outcomes of patients with coronary heart disease (CHD), possible differences in primary and secondary prevention have received less attention. In this issue of Heart, Zhao and colleagues investigated sex differences in cardiovascular risk factor man...
