چکیده

Beamforming methods for sound source localization are usually based on free-field Green’s functions to model the propagation between and microphones. This assumption is known be incorrect many industrial applications beamforming results can suffer from this inconsistency regarding both, main lobe width dynamic range. The aim of paper investigate whether use numerically calculated functions, which include diffraction reflection path microphones, improve measurements. current test cases numerical experimental investigations consist a placed in short rectangular duct. measurements performed outside duct semi-anechoic chamber. A typical example kind installation fan with heat exchanger. case using boundary element method. These tailored used calculate corresponding steering vectors. loudspeaker mounted disc as reference exchanger both stationary rotating disc. evaluated frequency domain. For evaluation measurements, new method time domain presented. also uses were It shown how weighting these done beamforming. By means different validation criteria it that improved compared free field true case.

Greens Functions for 3-D Seismic Migration

The space-time Greens functions for 3-D poststack and 3-D prestack migration in a homogeneous medium are derived under the fareld approximation. These Greens functions can be used to practically compute synthetic migrated images. Examples are given for the recording footprint noise associated with a point scatterer and a meandering river channel. The Greens functions also provide fundamental in...

Greens Functions for the Wave Equation

I gather together known results on fundamental solutions to the wave equation in free space, and Greens functions in tori, boxes, and other domains. From this the corresponding fundamental solutions for the Helmholtz equation are derived, and, for the 2D case the semiclassical approximation interpreted back in the time-domain. Utility: scarring via time-dependent propagation in cavities; Math 4...
