Bi-directional superluminal ring lasers without crosstalk and gain competition

In this paper, we present the experimental observation of simultaneous bi-directional superluminal lasing in a triangular ring cavity without gain competition and crosstalk as needed for realizing gyroscope based on Sagnac effect. The spectrum each lasers is tailored to be narrow dip top broad using two stable isotopes Rb. Specifically, make use 85Rb produce via optically pumped Raman process 87Rb absorption pump depletion process. A separate cell used laser direction. Inferred from simulation, spectral sensitivity enhancements clock-wise counter-clock-wise are ∼362 ∼505, respectively, with imbalance attributed differences powers.
